Support striking Ealing Hospital workers

GMB pickets were again on strike and out in force this morning at Ealing Hospital in their seven day strike against poverty pay. The 150 porters and ancillary workers are fighting to get off the minimum hourly wage rate of £6.31 that outsourced NHS employer Medirest is currently paying them. This is 44% below the lowest comparable rate in the Health Service in London of £9.09. Medirest is only prepared to offer an insulting pay increase of 20p per hour.
