We headline this week’s NSSN bulletin with the UCU higher education strike, which re-starts next week. Last December, staff at 58 universities took 3 days of action against exploitative working conditions, casualisation, attacks on pensions and a decade of pay cuts. After re-balloting, 10 more HE colleges have joined the dispute. In addition, Unison members at 10 universities have also passed the 50% ballot threshold and will be striking alongside the UCU.
