governments austerity measures, starting at 11:00am from the RMT
headquarters on Chalton Street. The protest will head to Bedford Square,
near TUC HQ Congress House, where general secretaries Matt Wrack (FBU) and

the National Shop Stewards Network (NSSN).
NSSN Secretary Linda Taaffe said today: The
ConDem government has thrown down a gauntlet. London trade unions have
pledged to pick it up and take the fight back to these millionaire friends
of greedy bankers. We do not accept that there is no alternative. We refuse
to allow cuts that will see our families reduced to poverty now or in the
future.
On Thursday 21st October, the

tube workers, posties, civil servants and teachers will be out campaigning
together in a mass leafleting session around Euston Station in central
London, asking people to join our demonstration.
