NSSN Bulletin No.94

07 June Last call for NSSN conference this weekend. Victory for Ratcliffe workers. Workplace and international updates.

NSSN Conference is this Saturday!

WHAT?

Before Olympic lockdown…………before another media spectacular invades our homes……… hundreds of trade unionists, campaigners and young people will forsake these distractions. They will gather to discuss big issues, like how exactly can we stop our standard of living here in Britain from falling to the level of our Greek or Spanish brothers and sisters………

WHERE?

At NSSN Conference on Saturday 9th June at Friends House, Euston Road (opposite Euston Station) London, 11am to 4pm. Listen to the likes of PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka or the Sparks who defeated the bosses and their BESNA contract and many other fellow rank & file union activists and anti cuts campaigners - young and old. Discuss with other activists facing the same issues as you to find out how we overcome them

WHY?

Because when our side organises big strikes the government pauses or even gives a little; when our side pauses the government tramples in boots-and-all to take back what they can – and more. NSSN will be putting forward to the Conference the case that it is now time to start campaigning in the unions and in the workplaces for a 24-hour general strike of both public and private sector workers.

WHO?

YOU need to be there to have your say. Register online without delay or just come along on the day. All are welcome. Try to bring a workmate or friend with you. Younger workers, students or unemployed, are also more than welcome, as it is a fight for all of our futures. Inform any local activists and campaigns why they should be there too. Call, text, visit and inspire! There’s still time……..!
