Remploy Workers Protest -

Appeal for support

8 August A group of Remploy workers are coming down to London this week from North Staffordshire to protest against RADAR Chief Executive Liz Sayce's calling for the closure of Remploy factories. They would appreciate your support.

Liz Sayce is the authour of a recent report on Employment Support for
Disabled People. The report calls for the closure of the
remaining Remploy factories, thus condemning these last couple of
thousand disabled workers to a life of misery and failure by the
state.

Therefore, anyone who is available to join the protesting Remploy workers will be welcomed. The protest will take place outside the RADAR office at 12 City Forum, 250 City Road, London, EC1V 8AF on Thursday 11th August at 11:00am.

Also, for those of you unable to join the protest, there is an on-line petition calling for the Remploy factories to be kept open. It can be signed on-line here: www.saveremployfactories.co.uk.

UPDATE: The scheduled protest for Thursday 11th has been cancelled; trade union activists at Remploy will be rescheduling the protest and the NSSN will circulate information about the new demo as soon as we have it.
