NSSN 507: Unite members prepare to strike in North West

  We headline this week’s NSSN bulletin with two disputes from the North West involving Unite members. We send our solidarity to fuel tanker drivers employed by Hoyer Petrolog UK who are based at the Stanlow oil refinery and Rolls Royce workers in Barnoldswick in Lancashire. STEVE ACHESON DEFENCE CAMPAIGN Steve Acheson, Unite member and blacklisted electrician was dismissed from an engineering project at a power station in Warrington in December 2008. Ever since he has made the 80 mile round trip every Friday, at his own expense, to peacefully protest at the terrible injustice of blacklisting and to expose this abhorrent practice to public view.
