Save BIS Sheffield – support April 9 Sheffield March for Jobs (from PCS website) 22 March 2016 Thousands of people are expected to join a PCS march through Sheffield on 9 April to protest against the loss of hundreds of jobs in the city. At the end of January the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS)announced plans to close its Sheffield site by January 2018, losing 250 jobs.  Taken together with other closures including, HM Revenue and Customs Sheffield site, the overall loss of jobs to the city is 500. The NSSN are pleased to announce that PCS General Secretary Mark Serwotka will be speaking at our rally at this year’s TUC conference in Brighton. The rally will be part of a lobby called by the NSSN. We will be calling on the TUC and it’s affiliated trade unions to organise a demonstration when the Tories debate their trade union bill in Parliament.
