  University pensions strike update: Universities to be hit with 14 strike days if USS row not resolved – from UCU website (22 Jan): Universities face initial 14 days of escalating strike action if a row over changes to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) is not resolved.   The NSSN sends solidarity to Carillion workers after the company went into administration. No worker should lose their job or pension because of mismanagement. Carillion like many others, have benefited from privatisation. But it’s the workers who have paid the price, such as the 200 outsourced employees at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, who took strike action in 2012 against job losses and pay cuts.   As 2017 opens, the crisis in the NHS continues. The Health Campaigns Together grassroots campaign has called a national demonstration in London on Saturday March 4th https://www.facebook.com/events/1771664639725061/ Unions such as Unite and PCS have responded positively to an appeal from Health Campaigns Together to health unions, local and national campaigns seeking support for the march.
