The NSSN is delighted to announce that Dave Smith, a leading campaigner against blacklisting of workers for trade union activity will speak at this year’s NSSN conference on July 4th. Dave is also the co-author of the new book ‘Blacklisted’, which ‘tells the controversial story of the illegal strategies that transnational construction companies resorted to in their attempt to keep union activists away from their places of work. VIDEO Anti-Blacklisting campaigner arrested on Crossrail protest

Blacklist Support Group secretary Dave Smith was arrested on the peaceful protest of 40 construction workers and their supporters outside the Construction News Awards in the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane on last night. The protestors, who had a token stopping of the traffic, were highlighting the disgraceful sacking of workers on the Crossrail project for raising health and safety concerns.
