Mick Cash joins NSSN rally line up at TUC Conference

RMT General Secretary Mick Cash will be joining the top table line up at our rally at this year’s TUC conference in Brighton. Mick will be joining fellow General Secretary Mark Serwotka of the PCS as one of the keynote speakers, a great boost for the aims of the rally and lobby. The rally will be part of a lobby called by the NSSN. We will be calling on the TUC and it’s affiliated trade unions to organise a demonstration when the Tories debate their trade union bill in Parliament.   Strike action is taking place in a number of different area’s this week but it’s worthwhile reporting on two different disputes. The first is the dispute involving the Cityclean GMB members employed by Brighton and Hove City Council who have been ‘offered’ pay cuts. At a meeting of Brighton’s Policy and Resources Committee on 24th January 2013, Green and Conservative Councillors forced through a measure* which authorised Council officers to implement a ‘modernised pay and conditions package’.
