A SOLID STRIKE by RMT AND TSSA has gained us a political and industrial victory over Boris Johnson. A partial retreat by our bosses from an intransigent position of refusing to withdraw their proposed cuts of a 1,000 jobs and closing virtually all ticket offices has been achieved. Action is suspended for eight weeks while all aspects of the proposals are discussed and implementation is put on hold as is the HR1 redundancy notice. London Underground: £9.8 BILLION cuts on the way

By 2021, LUL bosses want a fully automated underground system including driverless trains, no-one on the stations to help passengers or to deal with emergencies, and a stripped down flexible workforce on zero hours contracts with no holiday or sick pay. The first 48 hour strike against these dangerous and unworkable plans starts 12 noon on February 4; come to the picket lines and show your support.
