A tribute to Jayaben Desai and her role in the Grunwick strike of 1976-78

Jayaben Desai, one of the leading participants in the Grunwick strike of 1976-1978 died at the end of 2010.

Brent Trades Union Council, itself heavily involved in supporting the strikers, is holding an event to commemorate her role on Sunday 17th April. There will be a screening of the film �The Great Grunwick Strike - A History� by Chris Thomas followed by a discussion of the strike with participants.
